Arc 1800: your base for adventure
A vibrant village
Arc 1800 is the beating heart of Les Arcs, a lively village that combines traditional alpine charm with a contemporary atmosphere. It offers a variety of accommodation, restaurants and shops to complete your stay. Here you will find a variety of accommodation, from traditional chalets to contemporary apartments, as well as a myriad of restaurants, bars and shops to suit all your needs.
A pioneering architecture
The modern and unique architecture of Les Arcs, designed by the famous architect Charlotte Perriand, will seduce you as soon as you arrive. This village offers a remarkable example of modern alpine architecture, which brilliantly combines traditional and contemporary. In the 1960s, faced with the democratization of winter sports, the goal was to create a harmonious environment where modern architecture would interact with the surrounding nature, while preserving the authentic charm of the French Alps.
One of the most striking features of Arc 1800’s architecture is the use of raw concrete, which at the time was an innovative material in Alpine construction. Concrete was used to create buildings with clean lines, offering a modern aesthetic while ensuring great resistance to the extreme climatic conditions of the mountain.
Today, Arc 1800 reflects the successful integration of buildings into the mountain environment. It is the living testimony of architectural ingenuity that has adapted to its environment while preserving its unique identity.
